Two facts strike you immediately as you come in the wholesale electronics souq during Al Sabka Bazaar in Deira. One is the lack of activity, the thin crowds in the 200-metre-radius of the souq so much so that when the solitary shopper walks the bylanes of the bazaar, salespersons strut out to observe. There is nothing more pressing to tend to.
